I have always said it... and I will say it again... I TRULY BELIEVE THAT EVERY WOMAN IS BEAUTIFUL!

Those are not "just words". I see it. Every time a woman tells me "oh, but I am not photogenic".. I take that as a challenge! We as women are groomed to take care of everyone else, bring them up, support them, nurture them. But we never do that for ourselves. We often only see our flaws and mistakes. Our shortcomings or our weakness. Why is that? Are we such givers that we just don't have any "give" left for ourselves?

Let's change that. Let's start looking into the mirror and telling ourselves (myself included!) that we ARE beautiful. That we ARE amazing. That we ARE special. We say that to others around us right? Why can't we say it to ourselves? We have earned every laugh line, every curve, every gray hair.

Whether we are celebrating our youth... or celebrating our golden years.... LET'S JUST CELEBRATE!!

It is important that we have portraits of ourselves to pass on to our children. And our children's children. I don't have a portrait of my mother. And my dad was a photographer! She hated being in front of the camera because she wasn't comfortable in her skin. But you know what? I loved her as she was. She is no longer with us and I would give ANYTHING to have a beautiful photograph of her.

If you don't do this for yourself... do it for THEM.
